This is the first printing of the first edition of The Boldest Dream. The Story Of 12 Who Climbed Everest. The author, Rick Ridgeway, has signed this book directly on the the title page. It was published in New York by Harcourt Brace Jovanovich in 1979. The book measures 219mm tall x 138mm, and has 244 pages, 19 b/w photos, map. Ridgeway’s introspective account of himself, the climb, & his observations about personalities of the expedition members. Chris Chandler & Bob Cormack reached summit. A disgruntled Arlene Blum was member of the climbing team.

CONDITION: Original blue boards, light grey cloth spine, gilt lettering spine. Book is in fine condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, tight binding, clean, no foxing, no creased pages. Original dust jacket is present in very good condition with no tears, no chips, flap corners present, minute flecking a few spots on edges (see photo). Price: $55.
