1912 First Edition
By Filippo de Filippi (1869-1938)
CONDITION: Complete set with all original plates/maps, nothing missing. Volume I is original green light buckram with gilt lettering spine and TEG. Binding is solid and not shaken. It has original endpapers with no cracking. There is a previous owner's name and date penned to the front free endpaper. There is faint small foxing only on a few pages (not bad). Pages are clean. No writing or tears on pages. There is a little tear (3mm) that has been neatly repaired on the spine near the top. Overall better than average condition and less worn than most copies. Volume II, the map and panorama case, has been expertly rebacked with new cloth and gilt stamping. The outside covers have diffuse grubbiness and the corners are rubbed. All maps and panoramas are present (100% complete) and they are in fine condition except for 1cm split at center fold of the big map. Map titles are neatly written in light pencil on backside lower corners of the two small maps. Otherwise there are no marks, no writing, no pin holes, no tears on any of the maps or panaramas. Panoramas are clean with no foxing except for very outside margin of panorama "S" (no foxing anywhere else on the sheet). Price: SOLD.
