FINE SECOND PRINTING OF KRAKAUER'S FIRST BOOK


This is the second printing of the first USA edition of EIGER DREAMS -- Ventures Among Men and Mountains by Jon Krakauer. This book was published in New York by Lyons & Burford in 1990. The book measures 234mm tall x 155mm and has 180 pages. This is a collection of some of the author's best writings: Denali, K2, Eigerwand, Devil’s Thumb, John Gill bio, etc. This first printing of the book is quite scarce. This second printing is identical to the first printing except the number "1" is lacking from the number line on the copyright page.

CONDITION: Original blue boards, black spine with gilt lettering. Original dust jacket is in near fine condition with one barely detectible tiny 1mm chip at the base of the spine, no tears, clean, unclipped flap corners. The book is in fine condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, clean, no rubbing, no fading, tight binding. Price: $45.
