This is the first printing of the first edition of SKIING ON MOUNT EVEREST by Yuichiro Miura. This book was published in Tokyo by Bungei-shunju in 1970. The book measures 190mm tall x 130mm, and has 299 pages, 4 b/w photos, several in-text photos, EP maps. Text entirely in Japanese. This is the book that was translated into English as The Man Who Skied Down Everest. Account of the skiing Expedition to Everest in 1970 where Miura skied down from the S. Col. This is item j714a on page 591 of Yakushi's 1984 bibliography of Himalayan literature.

CONDITION: Original paperback with black lettering covers and spine. Original dust jacket near fine with a bit of rubbing at top of spine. The book covers have some age browning, and some foxing spots. Solid binding, no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing inside. Price: $65.
