This is the second printing (same format, size, & contents as the first printing) of the first edition of SOUL OF THE HEIGHTS -- 50 YEARS OF GOING TO THE MOUNTAINS by Ed Cooper. This book was published in 2007 by FalconGuides in Guilford CT. The book measures 285mm tall x 220mm, and has 207 pages, 87 color and 53 b/w photos, extensive technical notes on the photos, index. Some highlights of the author's extensive climbing career with many new routes in the Cascades, California, and Canada. The author was very active in the 1960s and 1970s climbing big walls, large and small mountains, many times with major climbers of the period. He became very experienced with mountain photography, patiently lugging around and using 4x5 and 5x7 equipment.

CONDITION: Original black boards with gilt lettering front cover & spine. Both book and dust jacket are in new condition (no marks, no wear) but there is a faint yellow thin pen mark (barely detectible) across the bottom of the text block near the spine. Price: $30.
