THE FIRST ASCENT OF ANNAPURNA SIGNED BY THE SUMMITERS MAURICE HERZOG AND LOUIS LACHENAL
CONDITION: Professionally bound in 1/2 leather with compartmentalized leather spine and leather corners all with gilt trim, marbled boards with matching marbled EPs, gilt lettering spine. The original pictorial covers (front and rear, including the illustrated flaps) are bound inside with the rest of the book. Also, the normally loose folding map has been expertly bound into the book at the rear. This book is SIGNED on the title page by Maurice Herzog and by Louis Lachenal. Otherwise, there are no previous owner marks or writing on any pages. There is a chip with loss to the margin of the short-title page (see photos), no other chips or tears. No foxing, tight binding, clean. There is some very minor rubbing on the bottom edges of the boards and to the very tip of one corner. Generally, the book is in nice condition in an expensive binding compared to the original paperback binding. Price: SOLD.
