This is the second edition of "PECHUCK" -- LORNE KNIGHT'S ADVENTURES IN THE ARCTIC by Richard G. Montgomery. This book was published in 1948 by Caxton Printers Ltd in Caldwell Idaho. The book measures 205mm tall x 141mm, and has 291 pages, 23 b/w photos, EP maps. Account of Knight's adventures in the Arctic with Vilhjalmur Stefansson aboard the Polar Bear on the Canadian Arctic Expedition 1914-1919 based on his extensive journals. Following this expedition Knight perished on the ill-fated Wrangel Island Expedition organized by Stefansson.

CONDITION: Original orange cloth with black lettering and small decorations front cover & spine. The book is in fine condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, no foxing, clean, tight binding. The attractive dust jacket is in nice condition but has a 1cm tear lower front, 2cm tear lower rear, clean, better than average. Price: $45.
