This is the second printing of the first edition of NORMAN CLYDE LEGENDARY MOUNTAINEER OF CALIFORNIA'S SIERRA NEVADA by Robert C. Pavlik. This book was published in Berkeley in 2008 by Heyday. This is the same as the first printing in every way except for the number line on the copyright page. The book measures 229mm tall x 152mm, and has 155 pages + [5], 13 b/w photos, 1 map, many notes, large bibliography, index. Full biography of Clyde with majority of the content on his climbs and rambles in the Sierra Nevada. Not always flattering, this attempts to describe most sides of this legendary climber who did not write or reveal to others much about himself. Clyde would spend months at a time alone in the high Sierra covering new ground and making solitary first ascents. He wrote lots of articles about his climbs and observations, but very little had content about himself.

CONDITION: Original illustrated softcover. The book is in fine condition with no previous owner marks or writing on any pages, clean, no foxing, no tears. Price: $12.
